" Paul Duffy formally of Duffy plant hire and now Managing Director of Duffy Excavations has over the last 4 years completed substantial works for Bam building in the west of Ireland. The projects completed were namely

· Ballybofey (Finn Valley leisure centre)
· Letterkenny (Colaiste Ailigh Secondary school)
· Abbotts Pharmaceutical Frame and foundation package (Sligo)
· Adult Acute Mental Health Hospital Galway (phase 1)

All of the above works were undertaken during the down turn in the construction market, where attention to detail and in particular attention to the economical side of the project needed to be foremost in everybody’s minds. Paul Duffy had a keen eye for detail as well as value engineering as the projects progressed. This VE was obviously welcomed by both Duffy excavations, Main contractor and Client alike.

The works were carried out to a very high standard both from a quality and health and safety view point and this was particularly evident in Abbotts Pharmaceutical Sligo where the demands by the client for a quality and safe project had to be achieved. It goes without saying that all demands were met on this project as well as all other projects undertaken by Duffy Excavations.

Resources and equipment to carry out the works were never an issue, nor was working overtime to achieve programme dates set for them, all dates on all our projects were all invariably met sometimes under very difficult circumstances.

Based on my experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Duffy Excavations for Future works. They remain actively on BAM tender lists for all projects going forward. "
